The following terms and conditions apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.

A. CONTAINER AND TERMINAL RELATED TERMS

•    Rates are valid for thirty (30) days. Extensions may be requested from carriers; however, carriers may limit validity due to uncertainty and high demand.
•    Terminal fees may apply for special container types (FR, OT), with a minimum of $650 per container.

•    Rates are valid per container and do not include additional charges unless specifically stated.

•    For freight with legal weight, one (1) hour of free time is included at the terminal and one (1) hour is included for loading and unloading. If free time is exceeded, an additional fee of $100 per hour applies.

•    If the container is returned to a different rail ramp or port than the original pickup location, chassis split charges may apply. Depending on the steamship line, charges must be confirmed prior to pickup.

•    If a terminal will not accept a returned container due to congestion, Movargo Global Logistics is not responsible for additional charges that may occur, including dry run, chassis, detention, per diem, storage, and similar fees.

•    Movargo Global Logistics is not responsible for per diem charges that may be associated with this load. Steamship line invoices may take one (1) to two (2) months to be issued.

•    If ERD changes after the container gates in, storage charges may occur at the port and terminal.

•    Steamship lines or terminals may limit receiving of containers due to congestion or changes in vessel schedules, which may cause per diem, detention, and other charges. Movargo Global Logistics is not responsible for these charges.

•    Most carriers’ liability will not exceed $1.00 per pound per package. Cargo insurance is strongly recommended. Movargo Global Logistics can assist upon request.

•    Rates are valid for legal weight, non hazardous cargo, commercial pickup and delivery, and live load or unload unless otherwise stated. Rates may change if these conditions differ.

•    If pickup or delivery locations require special equipment, please notify us in advance. This may affect total rates, including lift gate, forklift, labor, or special equipment trucks.

•    Service is not guaranteed. Carriers rely on correct paperwork at pickup and delivery, and may not be responsible for deliveries made to an incorrect address.

•    Please verify that freight details are correct. Rates are based on the information provided.

•    If the selected carrier arrives at the pickup location for export shipments and the shipper does not load the container or truck, a pickup attempt may be charged.

•    If the selected carrier arrives at the delivery location for import shipments and the customer does not unload or devann the container or truck, a delivery attempt may be charged.

•    Certain hazardous cargo classified as explosives, toxic, and or radioactive (Hazmat Class 1, 6, and 7) may have restrictions. Proper documentation such as a Dangerous Goods Declaration and Material Safety Data Sheet is required to issue the correct bill of lading. Additional transit days may be required to consolidate at intermediate terminals. Hazmat movements cannot be dispatched as guaranteed service.

•    Rates apply to non bonded cargo only unless otherwise stated.

•    If pickup or delivery is at a residential area, an additional residential fee may apply. Some carriers may reject residential pickups or deliveries, so please provide these details in advance.

•    Live unload or load pricing may be subject to a minimum of three (3) days chassis rental in addition to the quoted rate unless otherwise stated.

•    Provided trucking pickup and delivery rates are not valid for drop off requirements unless specified.

•    If the container arrives over the weekend, additional charges such as demurrage, prepull, chassis, or storage may occur.

•    Any deviation from stated cargo weights or particulars may require a quotation revision.

•    If the shipment loads as overweight, additional charges may apply, including possible transload charges.

•    These rates may not be valid for Amazon warehouse deliveries. Amazon may impose strict rules and waiting time. Some carriers do not accept Amazon deliveries. Others may require additional payment.

•    Rates may be subject to equipment and power availability at time of booking. Due to nationwide trucker unavailability and high demand, service is not guaranteed and is subject to carrier approval and availability.

•    It is the shipper’s responsibility to ensure export cargo is blocked and braced in accordance with AAR guidelines for safe overland transit.

•    Import containers are accepted and processed as shipper’s load, stow, count, and seal. The importer or receiver is responsible for cleaning the container after unloading, including sweeping dunnage and debris.

•    If containers arrive at, or depart via, the following terminals, terminal receiving charges will be added to invoices: Long Beach pier pass fee $110 per container; Oakland port or terminal receiving fee $55 per container; South Florida terminal receiving fee $185 per container; Boston port gate fee $100 per container; Norfolk tunnel expansion fee $35 per container.

•    If containers arrive at the following ports, a Clean Truck Fee will be added to invoices: Long Beach and Los Angeles ports $25 per container.

•    If containers depart from the following port, a Terminal Gate Fee will be added to invoices: Oakland port terminal gate fee $55 per container.

•    If a genset is not provided by the shipping line, additional charges may occur.

•    A chassis detention fee of $40 per day may apply in addition to standard chassis fees if an MSC chassis is used by the carrier.

•    All shipments destined to Türkiye are subject to ISPM 15 regulations. Failure to comply may result in containers being returned to origin or cargo being destroyed, with all costs, fines, and penalties charged to the shipper.

•    Movargo Global Logistics is not responsible for demurrage charges due to port congestion and chassis shortages. By accepting a rate offer and placing a work order, you accept these terms and conditions.
